Disney Live Entertainment
Over the last six years, I have had the honor of writing for many themed entertainment experiences at Walt Disney World and beyond.
Due to The Walt Disney Company’s confidentiality guidelines, I am unable to share internal documents containing proprietary information.
However, I am happy to share photos and videos of a selection of my work as it appeared to the public, and to explain my involvement with each project!

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
“Where Magic Meets the Beauty and Culture of The Bahamas”
Throughout 2023 and 2024, I had the honor of collaborating with Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney Imagineering, National Geographic Kids, and Bahamian cultural representatives and environmental experts to develop entertainment productions and activities for Disney Cruise Line’s latest destination in The Bahamas. This beautiful resort is thoroughly dedicated to highlighting and celebrating the rich culture and natural wonders of the island of Eleuthera.
In addition to developing high concepts, treatments, and scripts for multiple productions, I wrote copy for the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app describing each live entertainment offering at the resort. I also wrote informational documents for future Cast and Crew Members, explaining the purpose of each show and activity, and how each production was inspired by and connects to Bahamian cultural or environmental aspects. Through these documents, I hope to ensure that we will continue to honor the people and the land of The Bahamas and share what we’ve learned with all visiting Guests.

Disney Lookout Cay Discovery Trail
“This self-paced scavenger hunt takes you throughout Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, exploring the wondrous wildlife, flora, geography, and cultural elements that make Eleuthera unique.”
For this activity, I wrote engaging descriptions in the style of museum exhibit copy for twenty “points of interest.” Guests visiting Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point “unlock” this information by scanning QR codes throughout the resort with their mobile device, opening the corresponding page on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.

Disney Lookout Cay: Teen, Tween, and Youth Activities
It was a particular delight for me to develop activities for younger Guests participating in Disney Cruise Line’s Edge, Vibe, and Youth Activity programs.
Play in Nature at Sebastian’s Cove
“Young adventurers take an imaginary journey through the natural world of The Bahamas, exploring ‘discovery boxes’ inspired by the ocean, land, and sky! Full of animal facts and interactive games, this activity is presented in collaboration with National Geographic Kids.”

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
This two-day, two-night immersive experience casts the guest as the main character of their own Star Wars story. Aboard the Starcruiser Halcyon, passengers explore the galaxy, choose their allegiances, and take part in missions to help their newfound Resistance, First Order, or “scoundrel” friends.
In 2021 and 2022, I collaborated with the Immersive Experience Director team to develop this show and create performance tools which allow actors to invite the guests to step forward and play in a way never before seen at a Disney park or resort.

SWGS: Immersive Non-Scripted Scenes
Many of this show’s scenes are “non-scripted.” A character enters with pre-knowledge and guiding intentions or goals. They ask questions to connect with the guests and, with the guests’ help, move the story forward. During my involvement with this project, I developed and documented non-scripted scenes for every story track in the show.
Examples of non-scripted scenes:
Sandro the musician seeks advice about wooing and apologizing to his crush, Ouanii - VIDEO
Sammie the mechanic asks for help navigating the ship and gathers information about some suspicious travelers - VIDEO

SWGS: Media Events and Contingency Scripts
As the Halcyon neared its opening day, I helped create more structured or scripted character moments for media events, including a character appearance featured on Good Morning America.
I also created contingency scripts to allow the show to continue in the event of missing elements, as well as additional documentation to help the production team train new performers in the innovative immersive techniques used in this unprecedented performance.
Examples of media events:
During a media preview event, a Saja welcomes guests to the climate simulator and teaches them about the Force - VIDEO
Good Morning America welcomes a Make-a-Wish recipient to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser - VIDEO
